British police begin investigation into teenagers of hacker group Lapsus $

London City police who are investigating the hacker group Lapsus $ said on Friday that they had arrested two teenagers for cybercrime.

A 16-year-old and a 17-year-old are accused of unauthorized access to computers with the intent to tamper with user data and fraud.

Lapsus $ surprised cyber security experts after it managed to access the networks and computers of some of the largest companies in the world.

Microsoft, Okta and Nvidia fell victim to the attacks.

British police did not make public the names of the suspects but said that at the end of March they had arrested 7 individuals aged 16-21 years.
