The Gmail app comes with voice and audio calls

Google is ready to make the Gmail application not just an application where you check your email, but also as a real communication space.

The company has started sending an update to Gmail which will add voice and video calling options with Google Meet integration.

The changes will be applied in the wake of the redesign of Gmail by bringing the Workspace functionalities and turning it into a hub where you can accomplish more than just sending emails.

The inclusion of calls in Gmail shows how important this application has become in the Workspace space. The company has not hesitated to use it to increase the adoption of other services.

Today Gmail is the equivalent of Outlook, a benchmark for many services.
